We successfully escaped the clutches of Old Man Winter and made it to the heat and humidity of Houston where we will overnight before heading to Coz in the morning.
We are staying at the Doubletree by Hilton Houston which was a quick and easy free shuttle ride from the airport. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and efficient and gave us warm chocolate chip cookies! How great is that?
After lugging our million pounds of luggage up to our room (no offer of help but we didn't ask either) it was time to find dinner. We ended up at Derricks Saloon, yes that is Derrick like oil derrick. Hello Texas :-). Food and service was good...traditional pub fare and Wade had a Fat Tire beer to go with his burger lol.
Now off to have a quick bath and then to bed to dream about diving!
